We Look Forward to Providing You With the Highest Standard of Care

Initial Visit

When you call to make an appointment with our office you will be given a code and password to login to your Patient Portal and fill out your medical history as well as consent forms. It is recommended you change your password to one you can remember. Filling out the consent forms does not commit you to treatment; it is only your acknowledgement that you read the form. Any questions you have about it can be answered by the staff or doctor when you visit for your appointment.

Once the information is filled out, it will automatically update at our office, minimizing your time filling out information on the day of your appointment. We will call you the day prior to confirm your appointment and give you an estimate of your out-of-pocket costs based on the insurance information you provided.

If you were unable to fill out the information online prior to your appointment, you will need to arrive 30 minutes prior to your appointment to electronically fill out your forms in office. We will then be able to give you an estimate of your out-of-pocket costs.

The next step is usually an endodontic evaluation. Treatment is most often completed on the same day, depending on the procedure required. One of our staff members will escort you to the treatment area, check your blood pressure, and obtain the necessary radiographs. Your doctor will take time to review your record, discuss your symptoms, answer any questions you have, and provide a thorough diagnostic evaluation before beginning your treatment. At the end of your visit, we will make sure you understand all that has been accomplished and what is the next step in your dental care (usually following up with your general dentist for a permanent filling and continued treatment).

Please provide the following information at the time of your appointment:

  • Your referral slip and any x-rays your dentist sent with you

  • A list of medications you are presently taking

  • If you have dental insurance, please bring your insurance card

Appointments

We accept both referred and non-referred patients. Our goal is to immediately alleviate your pain and address your concerns. We understand that your time is important, and we will make every effort to honor your appointment time. Please keep in mind that some patients may require additional treatment time. Our staff will make every effort to let you know if your appointment time will be delayed. If, for some reason, you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment time, please call us as soon as possible so we can schedule another patient for that time.

Insurance Information

We work with you to maximize your insurance benefits for covered procedures. If you have any questions, our staff can help. They are well-informed and highly experienced working with insurance companies. Please bring your dental insurance information with you to your initial appointment so we can properly answer any of your billing questions. We can bill your insurance company for you on the day of service and handle all the paperwork for you here in office, even if we are not “in network” with your carrier. Your estimated co-pay is due at the time of service. Most insurance companies will respond within four to six weeks. Any remaining balance after your insurance has paid is your responsibility.

Financial Information

Providing superior, cutting-edge care is our mission at Chesapeake Endodontic Center. That is why we do not discount fees to a level that would force us to sacrifice the quality of care to which we are dedicated and you are entitled. Our fee for endodontic therapy is determined by the complexity of your case and reflects the quality of care we deliver. Our innovative office systems—such as outsourced billing and specially trained, multi-tasked staffing—enable us to maintain our fees at a level approximating what most dental insurance plans allow.

We have many convenient options for you to pay for your care. We accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. In addition, we can arrange for interest-free financing through CareCredit, with which you will not have any out-of-pocket fees at the time of treatment. We offer a discounted fee if you pay in full the day of service.

Your Safety is Our Priority

Our practice exceeds the highest standards of infection control advocated for by the American Dental Association, the CDC, and OSHA. We utilize the latest barrier techniques and autoclave sterilization to eliminate any risk of cross-contamination. We continually monitor the performance of our sterilizer to ensure proper function.

In addition to barrier techniques, we practice the highest level of surface disinfection. We exclude all tap water from our treatment units and maintain our clean water lines with the ICX disinfection and biofilm eliminating system. Our priority is to provide state-of-the-art endodontic care while maintaining a strict operating protocol for your health and safety.

Please give us a call at 410-224-7556 if you have any questions or concerns regarding your root canal case. We are always happy to answer any of your questions.
